Our story begins in 1985, when founder Sri Gautham opened a modest pearl workshop near Charminar — Hyderabad's legendary pearl market. What started as a single-room atelier has grown into one of the city's most trusted pearl jewellery houses.
Today, Gautham Jewellers is run by the second and third generation of the family. The pearl sources have expanded, the customer base now stretches from Hyderabad to the Gulf and the US — but the hand-grading for lustre, the obsession with nacre quality, and the single-minded focus on real pearls (never imitation, never plastic) remain exactly as they were.

Certified authenticity
Every piece ships with a GJ authenticity certificate detailing pearl type (freshwater / South Sea), origin, size in mm, and surface grade.
Hand-crafted finish
Hand-graded pearls, hand-strung strands, hand-finished clasps. Each piece passes a 12-point pearl QC before dispatch.
Fair, transparent pricing
Direct-from-pearl-farm pricing. No middle-men, no inflated showroom overheads — just honest pearl value.

How a Gautham piece is made.
Sourcing
Directly from farms in Hyderabad, Japan, and the Persian Gulf. Each lot is graded for lustre, surface, shape, and nacre.
Grading
Our master grader hand-sorts pearls against a reference set curated over 40 years. Only the top 15% make the cut.
Design
Our in-house designers blend traditional South Indian motifs with contemporary silhouettes loved by modern buyers.
Crafting
Experienced artisans string, knot, and finish each pearl piece by hand. No machine mass-production, no drilled-through shortcuts.
QC & certify
12-point pearl quality check — lustre, surface, shape, nacre, drilling, stringing — plus weight verification, certificate, and protective ivory-box packaging.
